Itinerary

Day One - Istanbul (D)
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative before transfer to your Hotel where you will stay for 2 nights. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure . You will have a welcome briefing tonight with your tour director.

Day Two - Istanbul (B, L, D)
After breakfast in your hotel, you will head for old city which is the main historic area (Unesco's World Heritage from 1985) of Istanbul .The full day comprehensive tour includes St. Sophia the cathedral built by Emperor Justinian in 537 which was the largest church in Christendom for a thousand years, the Byzantine Hippodrome with its various monuments including a 3500-year-old red granite obelisk brought from Egypt and erected here in 390 AD. The Ottoman Empire produced marvelous architecture and you'll see two of its finest works: Topkapi Palace, home of the Ottoman Sultans, and the famed Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmet I. After all these visits, you'll venture into the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar.You will be transferred back to your hotel for overnight.Optional dinner with a Turkish show is avaliable tonight.

Day Three - Istanbul - Safranbolu (B, L, D)
In the morning drive to Safranbolu, the world heritage town of Unesco which is considered as an open air museum. After arriving Safranbolu (Unesco's World Heritage - 1994) the tour starts with Hidirlik Hill, a good place to take photos of the town. Then continue to Cinci Hani, an old caravan inn, finally you will see Asmazlar Konagi, a beautiful old mansion. After tour continue to your hotel for overnight.

Day Four - Hattusas - Cappadocia (B, L, D)
Today we depart for Cappadocia. On our way we visit Hattusas that was the capital of the Hittite Kingdom for a long time. (Unesco's World Heritage -1986) Before visiting the main capital proceed to Yazılıkaya to see the open air sanctuary as the sun light comes on the bas-reliefs direct in the morning. In the afternoon visit to the capital of Hattusas with Lion’s Gate, Tunnel, King’s Gate, Citadel and Grand Temple. We arrive Cappadocia in the evening after a picturesque trip along the Salt Lake. Check in to your hotel in Cappadocia where you will staying for 2 nights.

Day Five - Cappadocia (B, L, D)
Early in the morning an optional Balloon tour is available. After breakfast you will be having a full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors, Open Air Museum in Goreme (Unesco's World Heritage -1985) to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings (10th to 13th century) and natural fortress in Uchisar. Here, we will have the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets ,Turkish tiles ,onyx and potteries.Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day Six - Konya (B, L, D)
Early departure for Pamukkale. On the way, visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai before arrival in Konya. We visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana also known as the Green Mausoleum or Green Dome, is the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. It containes the tomb and shrine of the Mevlana, or Rumi, which remains an important place of pilgrimage. We continue to our hotel in Konya for an overnight stay.

Day Seven - Antioch - Antalya (B, L, D)
Today we visit Antioch which is one of the oldest settlements from Roman Era in Turkish Landmark. You will be witnessing the history behind the ancient runs. We continue our drive to Antlaya which one of the most beautiful cities of the Mediterranean. You will be staying 2 nights in Antalya.

Day Eight - Antalya - Perge - Aspendos (B, L, D)
Departure in the morning and climb up to Termessos which is some 35 kms far away and located over the Gulluk Mountain on the northwestern part of Antalya to visit the impressive ruins, perched at an altitude of over 1000 metres up a mountainside. The vast ruins at the site comprise the theatre, odeon, necropolis, temple, cisterns from the Hellenistic and Roman period. Thereafter drive on to Duden Waterfalls that are the highest ones in the region. After lunch in the city drive to Perge, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 B.C., the place with the impressive colonnaded street and where most of the statues that are on display in Antalya Museum were unearthed. On then to Aspendos that bears one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world. Drive back to Antalya for overnight.

Day Nine - Pamukkale (B, L, D)
After breakfast, travel to Pamukkale and upon arrival visit the ancient Hierapolis (Unesco's World Heritage - 1988) which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath, graveyard and the lime cascade. We continue to our hotel in Pamukkale for overnight.

Day Ten - Kusadasi (B, L, D)
Today we drive to Kusadasi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight stay in this charming Aegean City. You will have time to relax at your hotel overlooking Kusadasi Harbour.

Day Eleven - Kusadasi - Efes (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will be visiting Ephesus and Virgin Mary’s House. First, visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then proceed to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. Then visit to the House of Mother Mary where she is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John. After tour, we will drive to our hotel at Kusadasi.

Day Twelve - Pamukkale - Sardis - Izmir (B, L, D)
Today we depart for Izmir. On the way drive through ancient city of Sardis and visit the ancient ruins of this Magnificient Roman city . Sardis (modern Sart) was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia and home King Croesus (560-546 BC), famous for his wealth. Liberated from the Persians by Alexander the Great in c.340 BC, Sardis became a Greek city with an impressive Temple of Artemis. In the Roman era, the temple was expanded and used also for the imperial cult, and a huge bath-gymnasium complex was built. We continue our drive our drive to Izmir which is a beautiful Agean city. Overnight Izmir

Day Thirteen - Pergamum - Troy - Canakkale (B, L, D)
Today we depart for Canakkale. On the way first visit Pergamum, one of Turkey's oldest civilized settlements and it has been inhabited from pre-historic times through the Ionic, Roman and Byzantine civilizations. It has yielded archeological treasures whose importance is recognized world-wide.The acropolis founded on top of a steep hill (300 m) and the Temple of Serapis (Kizil Avlu) make this area a fascinating stop for history-loving tourists. Also visit Altar of Zeus , before continuing to Troy (Unesco's World Heritage from 1998) ;a 5000 years old archaeological city, then you will see a reconstruction of the fabled Wooden Horse, which used in Trojan War. Drive to Canakkale for an overnight stay.

Day Fourteen - Gallipoli - Istanbul (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will cross Canakkale and visit Gallipoli After our lunch we will stop at a place of fierce World War 1 fighting between Allied forces and the Turks. At ANZAC Cove thousands lost their lives in one fateful dawn morning. We will also see other famous battle sites of World War 1 in this area, such as Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. From here we go to a ferry and cross the Dardanelles. For World War 1 buffs, you will know the Dardanelle Straits were a strategic crossing point for the allied armies to cross from Europe to Asia Minor. Over a nine month campaign, more than half a million soldiers lost their lives in the fight to control this strait of water and nearby Gallipoli peninsula We arrive Istanbul in the afternnoon for an overnight stay.

Day Fifteen - Istanbul (B)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for the flight abroad.
